Hi, I’m Sean…
Back in 2003 I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary program at the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago. I wasn’t sure at the time where it would lead me, but I knew I had a passion for food that I wanted to follow. I spent the next 10 years in and out of professional kitchens, and even doing some private chef work for special clients. In 2013 I began the full-time job of being a caregiver for my grandparents. It was a duty I was happy and proud to do. My grandparents had always been wonderful supporters of me, and had always encouraged me to follow any dreams I had.
When I moved back to Northern Minnesota, I was reintroduced to the art of self-reliance that is prominent in small town America. I had always been intrigued by the traditions of gardening and canning, and this was a great opportunity to explore these areas. I became acquainted with a pair of wonderful mentors who were delighted to reveal the details of their methods with me. The original results were delicious, and I immediately wanted to share them with people I knew. I decided to sell a few items in local markets and continue to play around with different ingredients and techniques to find more interesting products. This is the extension of that journey.
